Why are car owners reluctant to go through the scrapping process?
     

 Part of the reason is that they feel that the procedures for scrapping vehicles are cumbersome, requiring a lot of time and energy, and there are few scrapping subsidies, so they have been procrastinating and not scrapping. Another part of the reason is that if you apply for scrap, you need to deal with all the violations, and it will be troublesome for car owners who often violate the rules. The 12 points of the driver's license are simply not enough to deduct. Therefore, most car owners feel that the car is unusable anyway, and there is no need to deal with these things, so they just throw it aside.

What are the consequences of selling the car directly as scrap iron?
       

First of all, if the old car does not go through the normal scrapping process, there is no way to cancel it, and the vehicle information is still in your name. At this time, the problem arises. As long as there is an old car under your name that will not be disposed of and the license plate will not be returned, then you will not be able to get the license plate when you buy a new car.
       

Second, sell the car as scrap, and the vehicle information still belongs to you. Once there are criminals stealing your license plate, major traffic accidents and other illegal acts occur, the traffic police will not be able to prove your innocence when they track down you, and may even involve legal liability.
      

 Third, the state has very strict restrictions on car scrapping, because many unscrupulous businesses will refurbish scrapped car parts and then sell them for secondary use, which is likely to cause greater safety hazards.

At the same time, according to Article 19 of the "Administrative Measures for the Recycling of Scrap Motor Vehicles":
       

Those who engage in the recycling of scrapped motor vehicles without obtaining the qualification certification shall confiscate the illegally recycled scrapped motor vehicles, the "five assemblies" of scrapped motor vehicles and other parts, and confiscate the illegal income; If the amount is more than 50,000 yuan, a fine of not less than 2 times but not more than 5 times the illegal income shall be imposed; if the illegal income is less than 50,000 yuan or there is no illegal income, a fine of not less than 50,000 yuan but not more than 100,000 yuan shall be imposed. When the department responsible for the management of the recycling of scrapped motor vehicles confiscates illegally recycled scrapped motor vehicles, the "five assemblies" and other parts and components of scrapped motor vehicles, the relevant competent departments shall cooperate when necessary.
       So, since the country has such scrapping regulations, we just take the time to walk through the process. Otherwise, if you directly dismantle the car and sell it as scrap iron, your car will never be written off, and you will have to bear a series of troubles in the future.
